Sometimes you get an email from a bride that just speaks to who you are. She describes her wedding plans, location, and ideal photos, and then she tells you that she wants to allow several hours for you to take photos of just her and her groom. It only took a few words from Jasmine, and as a Louisville Wedding Photographer, I was hooked!
Jasmine and Jerimy planned an intimate elopement at a local eatery, Wiltshire on Market, in Louisville. They were inviting a small number of close friends and family and wanted to spend time just the two of the (well and me) all morning and afternoon before the ceremony. They shared so many special moments at their hotel getting ready, and seeing each other for the first time in their wedding attire. He helped Jasmine into her dress, and she helped Jerimy with his tie. They were full of ease, as natural as they could be, and very much in love!
I can’t put into words how much I loved capturing this wedding. The intimacy and simplicity of the entire day just resonated with me and everything that I love about love. They were not a slave to their schedule, they were not pulled in a million directions, they did not forget to spend time together, they did not do anything because “that’s what you are supposed to do for a wedding.” Instead their day was marked with ease, smiles, laughter, and a room full of people that cared deeply for Jasmine and Jerimy. This didn’t just make my job easy, it made it incredibly enjoyable and rewarding!
