Home Reno 1 | We Bought a House
Hey gang!
As you probably know by now, Alex and I have started our 2016 off with the goal of being better adults. We are doing things like keeping our house clean (most of the time), saying no more, doing laundry, and we did one HUGE thing that has really made us feel more adult.
WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!
With the help of an awesome realtor, we found a home in a quiet neighborhood (one without a bunch of privacy fences which is just what we wanted). The house has great bones, tons of space, and endless potential. Alex and I both grew up in cape cod style homes, so having one of our own is kind of special. Our new house was built in 1977 and still had a lot of 1970s style…which we love because it allows us to make the updates ourselves. We plan to keep the character, add some modern touches, and make this place our own!
We found the perfect partners to help us do all of the renovations. Scott and Emily Burke are a husband and wife duo from The Burke Co. and they are super talented. Scott owns his own business and already works on houses, finishes, painting, etc. Emily is a photography friend that has amazing style and is really creative. Together they have gutted, fixed up, and built many homes. This time they are going to help us change this 1970s cape cod into our dream home.
