Christine + Lee | University of Evansville Wedding
About a year ago I got a sweet little email from Christine and Lee asking if we traveled for wedding photography. She told me how they met in college at University of Evansville, that they have been together for 7 years, and that they plan to have a huge wedding party (10 on each side) because they really value deep friendships. I had sort of forgotten about the wedding party until Alex and I arrived at the rehearsal. There were literally 20 people + bride and groom in their wedding party! I thought to myself, no one has THIS many friends! However, as the weekend went on I observed both Christine and Lee with their best friends, and realized she was telling the truth! They actually do have THAT many valuable friendships in their lives.
It was clear that they had a lot of great support surrounding them. Christine and Lee are the kind of couple you root for! They are quiet, calm, humble, unassuming, not ruffled easily. Christine has an incredibly kind heart. She may not be loud or demonstrative, but after hanging out with her, she will write you a sweet note talking about all the great things she values about you! Lee may not be the center of attention, but he is a guy you can count on (as evidenced by his ten groomsmen). Lee reminds me of Alex a little. He has a great sense of humor, but is okay with letting someone else get the laugh because he doesn’t make anything all about him. He is the ultimate laid back groom. I’d say that if you have Christine and Lee in your life, you are lucky.
The bride and groom had their ceremony on their college campus where they met for the first time, and where Lee proposed. They have a lot of special memories on this campus and it seriously was a beautiful day for a wedding! We ended the night at the Tropicana Casino with amazing food and a full dance floor!
To Christine and Lee, we think you guys are the bomb! (Is it still cool to say the bomb?) Thank you for finding us! We are so glad you saw something you liked in these two homebodies from Southern Indian and asked us to come shoot your wedding! Also, tell your grandpa I said hello…we became buds at your reception 😉 Congratulations!!!
